We found ourselves in a new city. We had just moved to Louisiana and had neither friends nor family around us. Our boys needed a school.
As a family, we needed others to call our own. A friend informed us of the University-Model® Schools.

I happened to find Adolesco Preparatory Academy on the map just a few weeks after they cofounded. Superb timing!
Although the school would be opening in its first year, we felt secure in the Lord’s guidance and in the school’s staff and curriculum.
We quickly learned Adolesco Prep was more than a school. Our boys adapted seamlessly to the Classical method and we saw them flourish academically.
More importantly, we saw them grow spiritually. They would come home and put Biblical analogies to everything and ask in-depth questions for their young age, which in return has increased our study of God’s word. The method of APA’s (Adolesco Prep Academy’s) teaching and schedule assisted us in discipling our children while also allowing me a deep connection with them at home while working remotely.
It was a dream.
We had such a sense of peace knowing that we didn’t have to worry about our children being exposed to the things of this world because the Adolesco Prep community shares a kingdom-centered mindset. I enjoyed volunteering at school events because there, I was with my people.
Adolesco Prep has been more than a school and more like a family.
Watching our boys show love, grace and forgiveness to other children helped us grow more deeply with the Lord and the overall culture of the school strengthened our marriage. Those at APA endured our life obstacles with us, showing support, love, and offering scores of prayer. My family is better in ways that words could never describe.
And now, this summer, we find ourselves in a new city, again joining a new school community. We followed God’s call and are confident in his provisions to help us mimic what we had at APA. Because of Adolesco Prep, we are equipped and we are knowledgeable with what a distinctly Christian school looks like and trust that we will share what APA gave us to our new home.
